+About the Design
Plastic is a huge problem. Between 4.8 and 12.7 MILLION TONNES of plastic enter our ocean each year. It is heartbreaking to see, but the world is slowly waking up to the dangers of plastic on all living things.
This is the largest painting I have done so far. Measuring in at 32x40" (80x100 cm) and taking around 3 months to complete this is my most detailed work by far.
The idea behind it was to marry my other paintings into one large piece and threading the issues into one.
Have a look and see if you can spot a few of the features from my other paintings;
'Whale Food' bag resting on the large rock in the middle; this is the most obvious one.
Red, blue and yellow balloons from 'Baby Penguin Feeding' dotted around the coral. Along with other litter like can rings, a lighter, army man, crisps packet and a glass bottle.
Seahorse holding a cotton ear bud floating on the right.
The ghost net from my Narwhal painting rests on the rock on the front right.
I also added a glove and a facemask as a nudge towards the current situation
